According to Seth Godin in his new book The Icarus Deception we are now in the communication age and we are all artists, or we are required to be artists. There is a massive change in economic structure so perhaps he’s right, because the evidence is there. Taking art as the focal point, you will need to use your imagination to create great content and to bring people into your business.
I hear people who are so used to NOT doing things they make excuses as to why they have failed to do what they set out to do. I’m not just talking about people in general; I also talk about myself as well! It’s all too easy to set out to do things and yet when there is a small obstacle, there is an excuse to not do it rather than work through the obstacle and get the job done.
Recently I was introduced to a book that is 3 years old, but the message is unique and has a powerful “reverse psychology” about how to develop more “yes” responses for your prospecting and/or sales messages. The concept is simple and yet controversial compared to anything you may have been taught, which is to “go for no”.
There are things that I regret and things I know I shouldn’t have done. Yes, it’s important to learn from the mistakes in business, but now I have made a decision, I know where I went wrong and I understand why it’s vital I don’t look back. I have made my choice of marketing method and now I am focused and determined to make it work!
With so many accusations of spamming and the bad reputations that are given because of this, the right training is absolutely vital these days. I believe that we all need the right training to do the right thing instead of being given the go speak to your friends and family etc etc. I know we are given guidelines on how to approach people, but why is it that so many people end up NOT doing the right thing?
Attraction marketing principles are something I have a real passion for. The fact that, as attraction marketers, we have the opportunity to help people and offer value FIRST is one of the great philosophies of attraction marketing. To offer value first and consider the person “on the receiving end” of my approach as someone who has problems of their own and yet may have a different opinion about an opportunity is so important to me. The OTHER person is the most important in ANY conversation.
Are you a person who listens to daily motivational audio and this helps you be motivated to take action? What will happen if you should “overfill” yourself with so much information you get overwhelmed with it? Perhaps it’s time you let go of some of the information and become the motivator. When you’re constantly in a state of receiving information, whatever it is, your “cup will get full” and it’s time to free up some space.
When you’re in the online marketing world, whether as an outright internet marketing niche or as a network marketer who networks online (this applies to offline marketing too), personal branding is something a great majority of us should be doing. The question is what are you attracted to? When you go to an offline networking event you are likely to see several people around who will have the message “buy my stuff” or “join my business” and yet there is one that says Join Me. Which is the ONE that will tweak your curiosity?
