It doesn’t matter what your business or job, if you don’t commit to doing something you love, you’re in danger of getting into the “half hearted” zone. This is more dangerous when you have your own business, but could also mean losing a job.
The first thing you need to look at is your own desire to do the job at hand. If there is something in the business that you see as lucrative and that is the ONLY reason you want to do it, there is the possibility (or worse) that you can enter into it half heartedly. So, ask yourself if it is something that Continue reading
I was browsing through one site looking for ideas for a blog post. I came across a student who was reaching the end of his studies and who had just one year left making it clear that “he was scared of the future”. WHY?
Because of the reaction he was getting to his work! Outside influences were the issues that were making him think he wasn’t good enough. What could he do to make this change?
I believe there are Continue reading
Practice is something we all need to get to grips with in our everyday business and life. Learning the skills we use is one thing, but practice is how we perfect them. Many will “shy away” from practice because it may remind you of tasks that were seen as chores when a child. This would be more relevant for someone who learned music as an example, but the practice was something “to be avoided” because it’s “boring”. After all, we just want to play that tune, so why do I need to do scales?
Too many times, we as humans look to get to the gratifying point of what we’re doing, but forget that Continue reading
I will be talking about learning about your niche and then going out and crushing it!
“You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.” ~ Einstein
This statement can be based on so many things in life, ranging from sport to business. The best teams mostly win the most prizes, but this doesn’t mean that the team is full of the very best players. There is more to a team than just being the best individual. This, of course, doesn’t mean that the best teams cannot contain the best player of all. That could be YOU in your chosen field as long as Continue reading
Part 8 of the series based on the 10 main principles of Albert Einstein. In this post I will discuss repetition and why it can be both good and bad. Good is great, but bad is something to beware of and so easy a trap to fall into.
Einstein had a philosophy around this and thought it as:
“Insanity – doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
Of course, this is based around the “bad” side of repetition and this should be avoided. Of course, it’s a very easy trap to get caught in and can lead to frustration and Continue reading
Bold statement, but something I believe in.
Welcome to part two of ten lessons the great Albert Einstein lived his life by. On this subject of perseverance he said: “It’s not that I’m so smart; it’s just that I stay with problems longer.”
When this was discussed and shared in the mentoring group I am a member of, the statement made was that “perseverance is priceless”, which it absolutely is. When you are looking to make improvements in your life and business, you need to persevere towards your goals, but if you can add persistence in taking the right actions Continue reading
“Desperation is the feeling that you have when you are in such a bad situation that you will try anything to change it.” ~ Collins English Dictionary
This is just one way to look at desperation and define it in the clearest way possible for all of us to understand and relate to it. Why is there so much “desperation” in the world and how can we turn away from it and look towards INSPIRATION instead?
Being desperate in your life and business is in itself a negative reaction to what is around you. Of course we are ALL looking to progress, make money and have a better life for our family and ourselves too. We all WANT that Continue reading
