Time management has never been a strong point of mine, especially when I was working a full time job and doing my internet business part time. I found out that setting things down and planning was key to any progress and especially achievable daily goals to enable me to move forward.
No matter how much action you’re taking in your business, or your good intention in taking that action, it won’t bring the results you want without a positive thought process. You need good intention that has a defined and positive end in mind and any doubt or lack of belief in any way will diminish the chances of getting the results you’re looking for.
How would you define failure? If you look at this taking everything into consideration, then failure is a big part of success. Building a great business requires all of us to take failure in our stride and learn from mistakes in order to create success for ourselves. There are so any people who will quit because of a failure, but this is mainly due to our educational programming since failure is treated as a big negative and something to be avoided. When taken in the right context, failure is all part of the success concept and is exactly opposite to the negativity set into our psyche by default.
Healthy competition can be good for you and your business, but beware of some competition because it could affect you more than you think in a negative way. There are varying types of competition depending on the business you’re in. You need to be careful of what I call “toxic” competition.
What floats your boat? When you’re out to find a way to be achieving success, what better than to find something you are passionate about and then work with people and a business that truly inspires you?
When going online with my business, the biggest hurdle I found when creating content was getting the ideas. After several business ventures that have not been a true success, I have found something that I have a true passion for and something I get inspired by. The people I work with inspire me, the stories inspire me and my focus on my goals inspire me. Now I don’t seem to have any problems with content.
There are two things that will have a big influence in your business: fear and belief. Discovering how to overcome fear is one of the most vital things for those of us who suffer from this horrible and debilitating feeling.
I don’t know if you’ve ever experienced the feeling that makes you think “I’ve lost my mojo”, but this is something I felt when I lost my way in my business. I was somewhat dazed and confused and because of this my business faltered and I suffered as a consequence.
I’ve Lost My Mojo – HELP!!
As I pointed out in part 1, there are basically 2 ways to look at commitment and consistency in business:
- Customer / Prospect commitment and consistency to buy or join you and…
- Personal commitment and consistency in your own business.
Part 1 dealt with the customer / prospect angle. Now it’s time to look at the personal angle to see how this psychology can help you to progress.
It doesn’t matter what business you choose to do, the important thing for you is that you trust the business you are working in and believe you can do it! If you have faith and passion in your choice of business then as long as you have that belief that you can do it and be successful you are going to see results.
When working in a home based business there are initially two things that are serious enough to really hold you back:
- Fear – where you are afraid about getting out there and making things happen. However trivial this may seem it’s real to the person who is experiencing this. And….
- Belief – Where you may doubt what you do based mostly (in my experience) on other people’s reaction to what you’re doing and the way this “doubt” eats away at you.
These things are either self inflicted in some ways or from the “opinions” of others who tell you to be careful or to forget it all together because “so and so” tried it and failed.
If you’re new to online marketing and have just decided to try to get more leads and customers / signups for your business you need to work out which of several marketing strategies is the best for you. Because of all the types there are, this can lead to overwhelm and many of us get stuck and then the business falters.
Some of us will go back to what we have already been taught and, because there is little to no success, will give up on their dreams and go back to the life they are used to. This is possibly the case with up to 90% of people who take up the mantle to expand out into the online world.
