Yes I know, I do keep on about giving value and being generous with your time, but you mustn’t forget that you’re in business. Your time is valuable and there comes a point where people who follow you have to acknowledge that. The time I’m talking about is the time for personal consultations. People must realize that there is a price for your valuable time to help them to get success with a particular area that you’re an expert in. You don’t expect a solicitor to “give away” time when you want them to look after your legal stuff do you? There’s no difference with your time and expertise either!
In these days of internet marketing, there is so much free stuff and giveaways around we don’t know where to look next. There are so many items of value and yet there are some that are not of the same value because they are designed to get a person’s details only. The more value is offered, the more generosity is given.
When you post your content on the internet, whether it’s on a blog, on social media, on video or just as an advertisement, it’s sometimes the things you don’t say that are the most important. As a marketer it’s your job to trigger curiosity in your prospect and get their “nosey” gene to react to come to find out more about you.
With so many accusations of spamming and the bad reputations that are given because of this, the right training is absolutely vital these days. I believe that we all need the right training to do the right thing instead of being given the go speak to your friends and family etc etc. I know we are given guidelines on how to approach people, but why is it that so many people end up NOT doing the right thing?
When you’re in the online marketing world, whether as an outright internet marketing niche or as a network marketer who networks online (this applies to offline marketing too), personal branding is something a great majority of us should be doing. The question is what are you attracted to? When you go to an offline networking event you are likely to see several people around who will have the message “buy my stuff” or “join my business” and yet there is one that says Join Me. Which is the ONE that will tweak your curiosity?
Being from the UK, I was one time sceptical about anything American that was based around Internet Marketing. We Brits tend to have a different attitude to a lot of things and I sort of “went with the crowd”. When I was first introduced to MLSP I saw the program as something that was too overwhelming and complicated for me to understand. What I didn’t do was look at My Lead System Pro as a tool to help me to generate a brand and a presence online.
One of the things that I have heard conversations about recently especially with the financial situation as it is, tends to be about the subject money is short. One conversation I happened to hear was when I was in the doctor’s waiting room where two gentlemen were talking about people who were buying extravagant things and questioning why it is being said that money is short.
I think we have all been there in one way or another. Content creation can seem quite daunting until you get yourself into the right place in your mind to let go and let it flow. Ok clever clogs, how the heck do I do that? The best content creation comes from inside, but also is all around you waiting to go in.
