One thing that always stays with me, even in the hardest of times is never give up! There is only one absolutely CERTAIN way to fail, which is giving up on your dreams and ambitions because you have limiting beliefs. You must remember that YOU are responsible for your actions and your goals. A dream is only a dream if you don’t take action to achieve it. Limit yourself or listen to others limit you and you will never know what is possible.
I could say that quitting is the “easy way out”. Perhaps it is and you will no doubt have your own opinion on this. I can speak from experience about giving up, even though I have since started doing what I gave up many years ago.
This is not Continue reading
Many of us have been in a situation where you have a good idea what must be done, but can’t do it. You know it’s the right thing to do, but you can’t move. We all know that Action speaks louder than words, so why do we let ourselves get stuck?
Horrible feeling and position to be in – STUCK!!
You keep going over and over things in your head, but even then don’t do anything about it. You have the belief that everything will work out. Somehow life will just magically work it out for you. Then, whatever the Continue reading
Sometimes we need a little creative thinking to come up with solutions to problems. If you’re like me, you will always work on the premise that there is not a problem, but there is a solution. The thought process of knowing there is always a solution triggers that creative thinking to be able to come up with that seemingly elusive solution.
How many times have you found yourself thinking there will be no other solution to a problem? You even think that problem leads to a dead end! How many times have you been stuck and believe the problem in front of you is Continue reading
They say “It takes two to tango”. Well, it also takes at least two to argue. It’s not possible to have an argument with someone if there is no reaction. My advice is don’t argue. If you need to find solutions to create a win/win outcome, then arguing isn’t going to serve you. The best way to reach a reasonable and acceptable outcome is to ask questions.
In coaching it’s normal to encourage people to ask questions so the other person can hear the potential solution in their own words. It’s said that coaches don’t ask questions to hear the answer themselves, but Continue reading
There’s no need for you to impersonate anyone; they already exist. Do you want to be like your friend or colleague? WHY? It’s important for you to be unique! Even identical twins (or triplets etc.) are unique in their own particular way. You are not a direct copy of anyone. You are YOU. If there were meant to be more than one of you, it would create Continue reading
Among the various roads we follow, we could find a road that leads to a life of single blessedness, marriage, and religious vocation. Then there is a road that leads to fame and fortune on one hand, or isolation and poverty on the other. Moreover, there are Continue reading
Welcome to part 4 of discovering your road to success. We are reaching the point where I will be recommending you read or listen to some great material that has influenced me and has helped me on my success road.
Some of the books and resources I will discuss will mention the power of God and the spirit, but there is always room for that in its context. You may not be religious, but you may realize Continue reading
Hello and welcome to step 5 of the 6 steps to successful selling. We have covered everything from creating rapport (Step 1), asking relevant questions (Step 2), discovering your prospect’s values (Step 3) and matching your product or service to the prospect’s needs (Step 4).
In step 5. We will go over the “conditional close”.
You may have got this far and believe you know nearly everything you need to know to make a sale. Despite this, Continue reading
It doesn’t matter what your business or job, if you don’t commit to doing something you love, you’re in danger of getting into the “half hearted” zone. This is more dangerous when you have your own business, but could also mean losing a job.
The first thing you need to look at is your own desire to do the job at hand. If there is something in the business that you see as lucrative and that is the ONLY reason you want to do it, there is the possibility (or worse) that you can enter into it half heartedly. So, ask yourself if it is something that Continue reading
