Your Philosophy Is The Driving Force Of Your Life!
There is a lot to be said for your philosophy and how it affects your very being. When you think about it, the in depth thinking behind a “philosophy” can lead to a lot of confusion, but when you put it into simple terms, then the sense of having a philosophy that drives your thinking to be positive and direct in your business and life is a big benefit to you.
Your Philosophy Is The Key To Your Future
“Your Philosophy is your view of life, something beyond feelings and attitudes. Your Philosophy drives your attitudes and feelings, which drives your actions.” Jeff Olson, The Slight Edge.
When you have a positive philosophy, you will have positive thought, attitude and action. When you have a negative based philosophy you will have negative thoughts, attitude and misery in your life. To generate a change to positivity it doesn’t take a lot of work, but it takes small actions that you can choose to do or not. Either way, it won’t change things TODAY. According to Jeff Olson in his book The Slight Edge, when you choose to read 10 pages a day on personal development, the small consistent action you take will make the difference.
Choices are the basis of the whole process. Choosing to do the small tasks daily, even if you think they don’t matter, they will actually make ALL the difference! You can choose not to do them today, but why wait? There is a story in the book where 2 men are given the opportunity to invest money on a yearly basis that can yield a million for them by the age of 65. They were both 22 years old. One of the guys took the opportunity straight away and the other left it for 6 years. The thing is, the one who took up the offer 6 years previously had already reached his goal. His investment of 6 years will yield his million by the time he’s 65.
His buddy decided that he had waited long enough, so he started to invest at 28. It took him until he was 61 to achieve what his friend had achieved in 6 years! The moral is, don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today.
Your Philosophy Should Be To Do It Now!
“Do the thing, and you shall have the power.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
When you take positive action you can reap the rewards. The important thing is to take the important small steps along the way. As I said earlier, the small things make ALL the difference. When you go through the “how to’s” in your business training and education, it’s the way you APPLY them in accordance with your philosophy that will make the difference to your results. Changing the way you think will help you to take the steps that lead you to get through the how to’s.
Take the baby steps that add up to MASSIVE action and you will start to see the difference. Consistent action with the smallest of things daily all adds up. Change your philosophy to include the smallest of things and keep to your plan. Be positive in your thoughts and your actions will be positive too. Then you will see positive results.
